Man Gives Away Child to Stranger to Save Wife

ENCHANTED FOREST, Germany ---- Rowan Hearth gave his first born child to the town’s enchantress in order to save his deathly ill wife Mary Hearth. At twilight last night Mr. Hearth snuck into the enchantress’ garden in an attempt to steal her magical plant that had the power to heal his wife.

Striking a deal

A key witness states that they heard Mr. Hearth beg for his life after the entrantress, named Gothel, caught him in his attempted theft. Gothel responded, “If the case be as you say, I will allow you to take away with you as much rampion [the magical plant] as you will, only I make one condition, you must give me the child which your wife will bring into the world.”

“Mr. Hearth then accepted this offer out of terror,” the key witness explains.

That night, when Mary Hearth was preparing to go to bed Gothel came and took the baby, whom Mr. and Mrs. named Rapunzel, off into the night. More news will be reported as more information comes; however, the whereabouts of Gothel and Rapunzel are unknown.
